I strangely love year in review posts. I love seeing a huge amount of time suddenly being jammed into a blog post. It's great. And while I think a comprehensive look at the year is probably not the most fascinating thing in the world for me or you to read, I'll give a list of a few stand-out events from this year.

• Ate genie pig.
• Started a food fight. 
• Met alter egos Jerry and Kerry from Baston/New Joizee/Brooklyn.
• Slept in a hotel with a stranger I met in the airport.
• Got a 2nd degree sunburn.
• Roller skated until my knee caps were bruised and purple. 
• Played "Careless Whisper" on the harmonica.  
• Got the Bieber Fever.
• Put a bird on it.
• Brushed up on my Ted Bundy trivia.
• Slept in past noon at least once a month. 
• Fell in love with Ron Swanson. And Jean-Ralphio.
• Publicly vomited in the streets of Cuenca while buying a soccer jersey.
• Was second-handedly victimized by Wind. 
• Participated in Carnaval.
• Coned.
• Unsuccessfully jump-served in a game of Volleyball.
• Kissed a black man.
• Whistled 3/4s of Handel's "Messiah".
• Got Jiggy With It.

In reality (even though that list is 100% real), this year was a blast and I got to do a lot of great things with a lot of great people. I lived and loved in Ecuador  for the first part of the year, had an fantastic summer full of adventures, and came back to school at USU in the fall to learn and do things I really love doing all while living with some of my best friends. It's been an excellent year and one that I know I will look fondly back on. And it was quite a good New Year celebration, especially considering its the last one and all.
